Webinar Series: Odor Control Solutions for Safety & Stewardship

Odor generation in wastewater collection systems and the impact on infrastructure, personnel and the community

High levels of odor causing compounds, such as hydrogen sulfide, can lead to customer complaints, unsafe conditions for workers and accelerated corrosion in collection systems. This five-part webinar series will introduce the process and chemistry of odor generation in wastewater collection systems, the impact on infrastructure, personnel and the community, and a variety of mitigation solutions.

Join Evoqua experts for this informative webinar series. You can view the on-demand sessions below.

Odor Control Solutions for Safety & Stewardship

1: Introduction to Odor Control

Elizabeth Chaffin, Aftermarket Specialist for Applications Engineering

There are a variety of factors contribute to the generation of odors in wastewater. This introductory webinar will explore the chemistry behind hydrogen sulfide generation, factors affecting its release and the impact on infrastructure and the community.

2: Nitrate Solutions

Deekshitha Adapa, Municipal Services Program Manager

Calcium Nitrate Solution eliminates the odor, corrosion, and safety problems associated with hydrogen sulfide by achieving sewage odor control naturally. This proven solution also treats other common sewage odors, including odorous sulfur compounds such as mercaptans and organic sulfides.

3: pH Shift Technology

Methelyn Murphy, Applications Engineer

pH shift products control hydrogen sulfide odors in wastewater collection systems by manipulating the presence of ionic sulfide species in the wastewater stream. This webinar will explore the use of Evoqua’s Alkagen solution for hydrogen sulfide mitigation.

4: Air Scrubbers

Justin Stewart, M.S.Ch.E., Applications Engineer

Air scrubbers can be used to control odors where they are released or supplement chemical treatment odor control programs to reduce the overall cost of service. This webinar will explore the use of air scrubbers in typical odor control applications.

5: Oxidizers & Iron Salt Solutions

Nicolas Swanson, P.E., Product Manager

With growing pressures to reduce OPEX within municipalities, it is often critical to implement solutions that can alleviate challenges at multiple points within the wastewater treatment process. Find out how oxidizers & iron salts can extend benefits beyond odor control in the collection system in this educational webinar.
